Girl faints at fright show

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

The thrills and chills became all too real at Screamers Monday, when a little girl’s heart stopped following a seizure at the Victoria Avenue fright factory.

“I knew something was wrong when the lights came on because they never do that,” said employee Tyler Woodhouse, who was escorting a different group through the maze when the girl went into distress. “When I got there, she was on the ground and had no vital signs. I just took control of the situation and began doing CPR.”

The incident happened around 5 p. m., when the girl -identified only as “Amanda” was going through the house of horrors with her father.

The 24-year-old said the girl -who appeared to be between 10 and 12 – was at a “pretty intense spot” near the end of the maze when she had the seizure.

Staff are accustomed to hearing screams, he said, but hearing Amanda’s father call for help was something different.
