Back at the beginning of February one of my wife’s aunt celebrated her 80th birthday. This aunt’s family is spread out all over the place, so they got together in Niagara Falls for a bit of a reunion (this was the first time everyone had been together in 10 years). The official birthday dinner was at The Love Boat on Victoria Ave and we were invited. I was trying to enjoy myself with the family, but I couldn’t help but make some mental notes so I could post them (even if it takes me 6 months).
First and foremost, the food was excellent. I had a steak dinner and my wife had some pasta. The steak was very good, and the garlic mashed potatoes that came with it were amazing. My wife’s dinner was very good as well (she said she’d order it again). The prices seemed a little high, but were not outrageous.
You will either think the decorations are quaint, or you will think they are outdated. I thought they were quaint; my wife thought they were outdated. The place was very clean, but the inside obviously hadn’t been updated in some time. It probably would have looked perfect at some maritime location. I guess it did seem a little out of place in Niagara Falls.
Some people are reluctant to go to non-brand-name restaurants as they aren’t sure what to expect. If you like to venture out, then give The Love Boat a try.

The former High Times is now open again as a souvenir shop. I’m not sure what the name of the place is now.

On Wednesday I received the latest email from the Fallsview Waterpark. They are promoting an interesting referral program.

Someone with their own blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:
We also went to Niagara Falls. All I can say is Wow. Those things are HUGE! We rode the Maid in the Mist boat tour, we got soaking wet. Along with did a lot of the fun attractions in Niagara Falls (Clifton Hill) such as visited the Celebrity Wax Museum, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, the Sky Ride (a GIANT Ferris Wheel) along with some other random smaller fun stuff.
