When the Falls Mist Motel was demolished, Drafty commented that a Tim Hortons was going up. There were no signs there until just recently. It is indeed going to be a Tim Hortons.

Just an observations… not too long ago there wasn’t a single Tim Hortons in the main tourist area. Now there will be 3: Clifton Hill, Table Rock Place, and the Fallsview area.
Coach Tours America has a nice blurb on their blog about Niagara Falls and a trip they offer:
Visiting the Niagara Falls is a truly awe-inspiring experience and none more so than on the Niagara Falls break which gives you views of the Falls from the Canadian side.
Your hotel for the two night break is the Best Western Fallsview which is only a 10 minute walk away from the Falls themselves, meaning that you can take a stroll to see them whenever you like!
From the Chronicle Herald in Halifax, Nova Scotia (originally from the Kingston, Whig-Standard in Kingston, Ontario):
My son and I are standing behind the Fallsview Casino Resort, only 200 metres from the Niagara Falls.
Seeing pictures of one of the most famous natural wonders in the world isn’t the same as experiencing it in person. You can hear a low roar as 168,000 cubic metres (roughly one million bathtubs) of water flow over the 57-metre Horseshoe Falls every minute.
You can’t help but be in awe of the awesome aquatic display.
My three-year-old son is enjoying the H2O — but not the one you’d expect.
There is a fountain that shoots water three metres into the air. It’s a mere trickle when compared to the mighty Niagara, but he is in awe.
“Fountain!” he screams with delight.
“Benji, look over there. It is Niagara Falls!” I say.
He’s not interested.
From the Niagara Falls Review:
Ten months after registering the Fallsview trademark, Crystal Beach entrepreneur Steven Alek has inked a deal to place the name in the public domain.
The Review has learned Alek and the Fallsview Business Improvement Area signed off on an agreement July 3, which will see the BIA take over ownership of the trademark “for $1 and other good and valuable consideration paid by the (Fallsview BIA) to (Alek).”
“Everything worked out to be very amicable for everyone involved,” Alek said, adding he is “ecstatic” at the arrangements.

I recently came across an old TravBuddy post from almost 2 years ago:
There are additional pictures from random Niagara Falls visits including one long weekend where we went there for the day. I don’t have Canadian holidays off because of my work (oh the irony) so when the usually crowds head out of the city to enjoy camping and frolicking around for the long weekend I drove down with some to enjoy the weather. The tourist districts of Clifton Hill, Lundy’s Lane, Fallsview and Queen Victoria Park are always crowded with people walking up and down enjoying the beautiful sights. There are all kinds of haunted houses, carnival type games and rides, great restaurants, casinos and bars. We decided to go on the Maid of the Mist, yes my first time taking the little white boat and putting on this blue plastic poncho (what a sight) and venturing out into the falls. Let me just say SO MUCH FUN!!
