There are many great sites out there with information on Niagara Falls. There are many well-known sites that don’t have very good information (but are marketed well) and sites that aren’t so well known but have great information. One site that I think is particularly good is Niagara Frontier Info (not to be mistaken with Thunder Alley).
Admittedly, the site isn’t fancy looking, but it is a great resource (and not just because they link to me). Starting on the main page, you can see the following:
- Click on the Attractions link and find a listing of over 50+ places to visit in the area (both Canadian and American)
- On that same Attractions page is information about Marineland, Darien Lake, and Fantasy Island
- Click on the Events link and you’ll see a good listing of events in the area in September
- There is also a forum. No one has posted anything yet, but it’s there and I’m sure Philip, the owner will respond
- Click on the History link and you’ll read some information on Erie County and Buffalo (nothing for the Canadian side)
- Perhaps the most intriguing idea is the Trip Planner. If you fill out a short form and let Philip know how much many you have to spend and what season you are coming, he will give you ideas on what you can do
- There is also a newsletter. I just signed up for it, so I’m not sure what the content will be like.
There are two main problems with the site.
- The main page doesn’t display properly in Mozilla Firefox. I couldn’t scroll down, so I couldn’t follow the links at the bottom (I had to use Internet Explorer). I’m sure this will get fixed.
- The look of the site is pretty boring. I’d rather have good content than a nice design, but the look needs to be improved.
As with any site like this (an independent site, not for profit), I’m sure Philip would love feedback (there is a survey), ideas, suggestions, and help. Overall, I guess I’m kind of fed up with sites like InfoNiagara and others that look pretty but haven’t updated their content in ages. Companies pay to be listed and then have the standard marketing garbage posted. They are ranked well in the search engines but don’t really provide anything worthwhile to the visitors. I’ve struggled with my own site, and it helps to have a community of people there to encourage you. It’s nice to see someone else trying to reach out and help promote the area in a positive way.

I personally have visited Niagara Frontier before, and dislike it.
The interface is rather bad, and most if not all the info on attractions was taken directly from the said attractions site!
thats just my two cents
Hello this is Philip the owner I would like to thank accessniagara.com for doing this write-up and Charlie if you would like to tell me exactly what you think of my site don’t just psot it here I might have never saw it please let me know on the survey and would you like to know about how things are copied from attractions pages they are only copied from Fantasy Island, Marineland and Darien Lakes sites all with direct permission and approval from the compaines things are not copied word for word and thats the only way to get real information is from thier site and other information would be false and isn’t that reason for my site is to gather all of the information about Niagara and put it on one place and I keep it very updated. Events are always up to date. Thank you please contact me at philip@niagarafrontier.net if you would liek to talk more.
hi all

off topic as usual..but i never know where to add a new comment…lol…anyhow..heard yesterday from my *source* (lol)on the hill that the spot by tussad’s may (not at all verified..just chatter) become a build a bear factory and birthday party headquarters…kinda needless i think..i just bought my granddaughter one on the hill today at the fun factory for way less than the real build a bear…anyhow..also..WOW!!!..table rock is gonna be HUGE!!..more room for souviener shirts and coffee mugs i suppose…lol..and last but NOT least..we also went to dufferin island to feed the ducks again..and believe it or not..they were putting up the CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS!!!!!!….well..better now than when it gets cold i suppose…funny..when i had left the hill 10 minutes earlier..the temp read 82 degrees..the LAST thing i expected to see was lit up deer…lmao

I don’t think I’ve ever seen your site Phil. I’ve used the Thunder Alley once in awhile mainly for off-beat news which slips through the cracks. Phil the link to your website seems to be broken. I’d love to take a look around if you don’t mind fixing it.
Good to hear some news from you Sue. I’m really really hoping your source is wrong on the Build a Bear Store, we already have one don’t we? I haven’t walked by the falls in a very long time so the scope of Table Rock is hard to determine, but the renderings look great. I can’t believe they are already placing Christmas decorations - at least wait a few weeks for autumn visitors to take in the changing leaves before all the man-made decorations go up.
build a bear is a waste of money in my opinion. 80 bucks for a bear just because you stuff it yourself, give me a break. I hope sue is wrong about that. If anything, it should be used to either expand tussaud’s or a lot for clifton hill attractions.
Just an FYI….Yes Build-a-Bear Workshop is REALLY coming!!
I must disagree with you…I do not think it is a waist of money, and they don’t cost $80…They range in price from $15-$34….and that is not just to stuff it yourself….You personalize it. Maybe you are mistaking it for one of the cheesy knock offs. Hope to see you there…Have a great day!
