Unofficial end of summer

Today is the Labour Day holiday in Canada and the United States, and this marks the unofficial end of summer. If kids aren’t back in school yet, they will be tomorrow. Business during the week slows down, but the weekends are still busy. The next big holiday is in about a month, Canadian Thanksgiving, and then a month after that is American Thanksgiving.

Today is a beautiful day and there seems to be a lot of people here. As I was out and around today, I noticed that Bronto’s Adventure Playland is finally open (I’ll post a picture tomorrow). Perfect timing… open just in time for business to slow down.

Couple gets married on the run

Near the end of a run that will take them around the world in about 95 days, Taeko Terauchi of Tokyo and Jason Loutitt of Vancouver stopped in Niagara Falls long enough to tie the knot at Queen Victoria Park Tuesday afternoon.

“I couldn’t imagine anything better,” said Loutitt about the very public wedding no more than a stone’s throw away from the world-famous falls.

I’m not sure specifically what the title means, but here is a posting by someone explain what they will be doing when they come to Niagara Falls (perhaps for a birthday trip?…
