Someone with a Xango site posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:
Even from over a kilometre away, we could feel the mists generated by such a thundering natural wonder. With over 168,000 cubic metres of water cascading down fifty-three metres of freefall every minute, the resulting roar can be heard even further away. For significant periods of time the resulting mist is so excessive that the falls are obscured completely, creating an eerie singular cloud of white, grumbling like a giant hungry beast.
