From the Niagara Falls Review:
It’s now or never for a people mover system in Niagara Falls - even if it’s not as grand as originally planned, says Dave Schram, a consultant working on the project for six years.
“There are two choices. Either move forward with Phase 1 or forget about the project,” Schram told the city’s community services committee Monday.
City council endorsed a plan to proceed with what Schram called a “top of escarpment” transit system instead of the “fully looped” design that has been in the works since 1998.

What a shame that it won’t be the full loop and worse yet it won’t be a monorail which truly is the best option for the city
It could still be a monorail. The city will let the interested parties propose what they think will work, which could also be nothing if none of them think that the shortened route is viable.
How long has this issue been dragging on now, 15 years? It finally picks up some steam over the last few years and no one can agree on a proper system as usual. Other world class tourist areas must sit back and laugh.
A monorail would be really cool, but in all honesty would be outrageously expensive when an at-grade system will work. I just hope to see something in the next couple of years to see easier access in the busy tourist district.
Somehow, I don’t think a monorail would be too wise.
You all saw how bad it had an effect on Springfield.
D’oh, forgot about that
lol
is there a chance the track could bend?
i have no idea what they would plan on doing…
