Graham, I’m not sure if you caught it yet, but Econo Lodge on Stanley is now Universal Inn & Suites - weird. Also do you know if there is contruction going on behind the Renaissance or if it is just part of the Hilton. There has been a fence around the area now but nothing seems to be going on.
The Fallsview Plaza (former Renaissance) is also expanding. It is adding 120 more rooms and amenities in a 5 story addition around the base of the hotel

I’m having trouble with the display of the blog. The Latest Posts/comments, etc. that used to appear to the right of the posts is now appearing all the way at the bottom after the posts.
I’m a Mac girl, so maybe that’s the issue - any other Mac users out there having trouble? or am i the only “cool” one in the commercials?
Not a huge deal, but that’s the first area i look at to see who’s saying what about which posts and I thought I’d bring it to your attention.

I updated both the blog software (Wordpress) and the theme (K2) within the last week. I’ll see what I can find out, but it may take a bit to get it fixed if I have to wait until an update to either. Sorry.

I haven’t noticed anything lately, but I don’t head up to the Fallsview area much (other than walking up Murray Hill). I haven’t been in the Falls since Thursday, so later this week I’ll take a look.
I have always had bad luck at EconoLodges (Ottawa and the Toronto Airport). I know that is no frills but I do expect a clean room. Both were dirty and dusty.
The one on Stanley was great. Clean Room, Cable T.V., Comfortable bed, Modern Washroom. It was a really great bargain with Choice Points. Got two nights.Had great A/C. Will go back this summer. Sad they lost the EconoLodge Name. There still what 3 EconoLodges?
Hi Karen!! I’m a Mac gal too!!! Awesome!!! But, everything still appears to the right for me, though it use to be one big long right column (I think), now I have 2 right columns. But don’t quote me on that… I have the blog and the comments set up to feed through Google Reader, so I usually read new posts and comments there.

Smoke, I also stayed at an econolodge in Ottawa - wow never again will I stay at one.
It was approved by council a little while ago. There is information of the city website. And guess what? In today’s Review, there is a liquor license application for East Side Mario’s at this hotel, Fallsview Plaza. So are all the rumours about the old Clifton false, or are we going from none to 2 ESM’s?

The theme used to have one main column in the middle, then a column on the left and a column on the right. Now the main column is on the left, and there are two columns on the right. There doesn’t seem to be a way to customize this in the theme, so this will be the “new” look for a while.

Macs Rule. : ) I’m getting the two columns too now. it seems if my window is too small, they drop to the bottom. i don’t recall that happening before, but it’s definitely something i can control.
Oh you are right Drafty. I always thought they were building another 30 story or so tower. I’ve never been a fan of ESM so I really hope only one is added to the falls.
