I’m sure there are a few new things this year (as there are most years) for the Winter Festival of Lights. The main thing that I’ve noticed that is new in in the Zimmerman Fountain Pond at the bottom of Clifton Hill in Queen Victoria Park. Over the last week or so a couple of people have been putting together a light display and it looks like they are done now. I haven’t seen it lit up, but it looks like it will be very nice. I think it is supposed to look like a fountain itself, and it is made up of a lot of white lights.

For those who are interested, a plaque on the rock in front of the pond describes who Mr. Zimmerman was:

I drove by it tonight and is probably one the best light display in the parks. Very well done! I think if they had the blue streams flashing in a way so it looked as if water was shooting from a fountain would make it even more realistic.
