Building between Mama Mia’s and Tussaud’s

As has been mentioned before, the building between Mama Mia’s and Tussaud’s was torn down, and a new building is going up. Quite a bit has been done since the last time I took a picture. There have been rumours that it will be a Build-a-Bear store, but nothing official has been announced.

Get noisemakers ready - New Year’s Eve concert announcement expected soon

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Fear not, revellers - New Year’s Eve at Queen Victoria Park is still on.

With just seven weeks to go before 2008 arrives, there still hasn’t been word about who is playing the annual free show down by the falls. Or even if there would be a show this year.

The lineup has usually been announced by the end of October in years past.

But after some late negotiations, expect an announcement next week. “It’s par for the course,” says Serge Felicetti from the city’s business development department, which helps co-ordinate the show every year.
