Last Sunday’s (Nov 11) Ripley’s Believe It or Not! cartoon featured a connection to Niagara Falls (click on the thumbnail to see a larger version of the cartoon):
“American Icon”
Annie and Ken Burkitt of Niagara Falls, Ontario, used over 1,000,000 Swarovski crystals to decorate a 2004 Mini Cooper with images of U.S. landmarks and symbols!

I hadn’t heard of the Burkitt’s, but Chris had. If you visit the Burkitt and Burkitt web site, you can see some of the other things they’ve done.
Someone from Australia asked this question:
2 adults and 2 kids. I am looking for somthing clean, close to the falls and reasonable in cost.
Does anyone have some suggestions and experiences.
Cost is a Major expense in this area. But we found that something close to all the attractions (within walking distance), safe, and clean is worth the money.
From Niagara Tourism press release on PR Web:
The mercury may be falling in Niagara Falls, Canada, but so are the prices, making it the perfect budget-friendly winter escape.
Niagara Falls is one of Canada’s top tourist destinations, but the winter season offers the exciting thrills and attractions without the crowds and at reduced rates.
This time of year offers the most value compared to our peak season
While some attractions like Marineland and the Maid of the Mist have closed for the season, the mighty Falls of Niagara never close. Experience the thunder of Niagara Falls with Journey Behind the Falls and Niagara Helicopters.
