Hotel on Robinson, parking on Stanley

For some time now, Canadian Niagara Hotels has had approval from the city for a hotel on a small piece of property by the Jolley Cut. The other day I was walking along Robinson Street, and there is some parking between Robinson Street and Murray Street that has big billboards for the Canadian Niagara Hotels properties (hotels, restaurants and attractions). I always assumed the property was owned by them.

There is now a sign on the property announcing a city meeting to approve the use of that space as parking for a hotel that will be at 5392 Robinson St.

I pulled up maps from both Google and Microsoft, but it is hard to see exactly where that property is. The City of Niagara Falls site lists the site on their Proposed and New Development Projects page, and they have a nice map that shows the lot:

Sure enough, when I was by the lot the other day, they have a copy of that same sign. The lot is currently being used as a parking lot.

Does this indicate that Canadian Niagara Hotels is going to start building soon?
