Greenwich Time, a newspaper in Connecticut, has some very old pictures of Niagara Falls on their web site. There are 19 of them, all of them from the Library of Congress. Because of the age and size of them, it is hard to see the detail of the pictures. The Library of Congress site has more detailed pictures which I’ll link to another time.
Here is another blog entry from someone who drove from Connecticut to Niagara Falls and spent several days here:
Monday- we left Connecticut around 9 am and arrived in Ontario Canada around 4:30 p.m. We checked in at Days Inn Hotel which is North of the Falls and facing the gorge of the falls.
There are lots of small pictures from their trip.

They’ve been running around the world for water for the past three months and on Tuesday, they breezed by Niagara Falls where more than six million cubic feet of water flows over the Horseshoe Falls every minute during peak hours.
A team of 20 international citizen runners representing 13 countries have been trotting around the globe since June to raise money to help alleviate the burden placed on more than a billion people who, every day, must drink unsafe local water or travel long distances on foot to search for it.
Running relay-style for 24 hours a day seven days a week, the team arrived in Niagara Falls Tuesday. It was the 89th day of their 95-day journey.
