Here are a couple of other things I should have included in the last update:

The former Domino’s on Clifton Hill is now a “House of Cuban Cigars & Mini Mart”

They built the “tower” for Al Macs on the ground, and I originally thought they were gazebos. I know some of you think this is going to be an IHOP, but there still aren’t any signs, so I think it is just an Al Macs renovation.
Graham,
The House of Cuban Cigars is that the same place that was on Victoria Avenue that the High Times moved into? Just Curious.
It is the same name, but the place on Victoria Avenue is still open.
Graham,
any word on the price for a marineland season pass this year? same deal? i dunno…
I’ve emailed some questions to Marineland. When I hear back from them, I’ll do a posting about it.
i passed al macs about 2 hours ago…i think maybe just renos as graham said…the signs are all still up..i would think that if it was gonna be a big name like IHOP..they woulda started advertising when construction started…noticed alot of candy in the windows of the new candy store on victoria..but no signs yet..love the paint colours tho..lol..lots of work goin on at the bottom of the hill..looked like just simple sidewalk maintainence..brontoland looks all done…last week the parking for tablerock was $12..this week..$14..slowly but surely heading skyward..you can bet it’ll be $20 for the holiday weekend..oh..and they’re really fixing up the small parking area at dufferin falls..hopefully they’ll make it a bit bigger for more cars..i parked under the *absolutely no parking on roadway* while we tossed some crackers to the birds really quick…lol

We can confirm it will remain Al Mac’s. The new sign actually looks quite sharp, just a small change on the old sign just much more vibrant. The renovations from the outside look very nice and will make the Stanley/Ferry corner very nice.
April was a very slow month in the falls, but I’ve noticed a lot more traffic (cars and people) now that we’re in May. It looks like it will be an exciting summer.
I can only imagine what that “mini-mart’s” prices will be. These little shops built to rip-off tourists spin a bad image on Niagara as being over priced and low quality.
