This is an old sign for Clifton Hill that is in the aquarium building at Marineland. You can see a lot of the old signs and locations (Fantasy Fudge Factory is gone, Circus World is gone, Dinosaur Park has moved, Movieland has moved, Arby’s is gone). A lot has changed over the last few years!

A LiveJournal user, “soopageek”, is reposting some things that were posted years ago, before blogging became very popular. He recently posted about his first visit to Niagara Falls, originally posted August 8th, 2003. It is nice to read people’s first impressions, and there are also some nice pictures.

WGRZ, the Buffalo NBC affiliate, has a nice video on their web site of Niagara Falls:
Two on Your Side photojournalist Kyle Johnson captured an amazing view of Niagara Falls on Saturday night.
Kyle was in the neighborhood to pick up a great “weather shot” for our weekend broadcast with Ron Plants and Andy Parker. He did not disappoint, shooting video of the falls, the visitors, and the nearby ferris wheel. Click on the video link to the right to check it out.
A few weeks ago there was a strike from some union workers on the Hilton construction site, so that delayed the work. That seems to have been resolved, and the work continues.

Also, I took a picture of a trailer a couple of weeks ago and thought iw as for the work being done at Niagara Freefall, but it’s actually for the Hilton as you can see by the sign.

When you go to the Niacon web site, the site only has basic information and it says it is under construction. They do have a picture of a building that looks like the Hilton, but it isn’t labeled, so I can’t be sure.
