All things Niagara Falls tourism…
As Dan mentioned in a previous comment, the wind tunnel is taking shape at the new Niagara Freefall location.

Last Tuesday I received the latest newsletter from the Radisson Hotel & Suites Fallsview. They are promoting several different packages (Marineland, Niagara Parks, Avaia, and more).

You can sign up for their newsletter on their web site.
From the St. Catharines Standard:
Niagara’s tourism appeal lies in its chameleon way of attracting everyone from families visiting Niagara Falls to upper income wine travellers, says a Niagara College tourism expert.
“What makes us sexy is the natural environment we have to offer and how we’ve used it,” says David Veres, the college’s dean of hospitality and tourism.
What Niagara needs is a way of better selling its assets, he said.
That would help local tourism providers weather what’s being called this summer’s perfect tourism storm — a skyrocketing Canadian dollar, escalating gas prices, and confusion at the border that’s keeping many American daytrippers stateside.
“We’ve survived 9-11, SARS. The tourism industry doesn’t go away, as long as it continues to stay the course and develop quality experiences for tourists.”
