Whales can’t adapt in captivity: NAFA

    From Niagara This Week:

It was Saturday morning and outside Marineland it was business as usual. The parking lot was filled with cars, the screams of children could be heard from a nearby ride and visitors were fanning themselves to keep cool in the heat.

Beyond the theme park’s property, however, about 30 individuals were holding signs and banners. A pile of inflatable whales sat on the ground and honks of car horns were heard in support for their cause.

On June 30, members of Niagara Action for Animals (NAFA) held a vigil outside Marineland to remember all the whales and dolphins which have died at the park over the years. But of course not everyone was welcome of their cause.
