The other day I got a mailing from the Niagara Falls Great Wolf Lodge. It was promoting several things similar to what their newsletter promotes. The one thing that did catch my eye was something a section about some new cameras they’ve installed.

Apparently, someone was injured quite badly a few weeks ago when they flew off one of the slides. That slide is now closed pending an investigation. I would have thought that injuries would be common in these waterparks, but it seems to be a rare occurance.
actually very rare, drafty, they test these things out like wild to make sure the walls are high enough for guests.
I was there when the accident happened. It was on one of the two slides on the climbing structure, I was waiting at the bottom for my child. The person in the other slide flew over the edge at the last turn and fell to the lower area behind it by the 4 foot pool. Don’t now extent of injuries but I don’t think it was very good. I will admit the lifeguards on duty acted quickly and professionally.
