When the Falls Mist Motel was demolished, Drafty commented that a Tim Hortons was going up. There were no signs there until just recently. It is indeed going to be a Tim Hortons.

Just an observations… not too long ago there wasn’t a single Tim Hortons in the main tourist area. Now there will be 3: Clifton Hill, Table Rock Place, and the Fallsview area.
The following is from a Market Wire press release (seen on Yahoo! Finance):

These great vacation packages are brought to you by Niagara Hospitality Hotels - Niagara’s friendliest hospitality provider!
From the Niagara Falls Review:
The so-called Shake and Bake electric chair display on Clifton Hill has taken its last breath. It’s fried!
Owner Charlie Burland of the Niagara Clifton Group shut it down at noon Sunday, a day after it was featured in the Niagara Falls Review.
Here’s how it worked: For $2, passersby could watch a very lifelike mannequin dying in an electric chair, complete with smoke and screams of pain.
Thanks, Mr. Burland - I know it was making money, but if the calls and e-mails I received are any indication, many people didn’t like it. Especially having it on public display where it could be viewed by young children, situated right next to an ice cream store.
In fact, by shutting it down so quickly you have probably saved yourself a lot of headaches. Not to mention more bad publicity, not only for the other businesses you operate but also the rest of Clifton Hill.
It could easily have turned into a genuine public relations nightmare.
Someone with a Blogger blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:
For our last free weekend of the summer, we embarked on our annual road trip to the Niagara Region.
