A photographer with a Blogger blog has posted about a recent trip to the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory (including pictures, of course):
We are back home now (as of late last night). We had fun in Niagara Falls!! We stayed at the Sheraton Fallsview, with an ACTUAL view of the falls. It was pretty cool!! We went to the Butterfly Conservatory when we got to Niagara Falls as it was a very beautiful day and there are lovely gardens there. Here are some pretty butterflies that I took pics of inside the conservatory.
Many college towns are busy with students returning to school. Colleges/universities usually plan various activities for the students. Buffalo State University of New York planned a trip to Clifton Hill yesterday:
Get ready to explore the exciting streets of Canada. The wonderful Clifton Hill is located one block from Niagara Falls. Clifton Hill features over 35 Niagara Falls attractions and restaurants. Enjoy year-round Niagara Falls entertainment, festivals, and events. Discover some of the best specialty stores and quality retail outlets. This event will also give students a safe avenue to explore Canadian culture.
What?! Visiting Clifton Hill let’s them “…explore Canadian culture…” Yes, the best way to learn about us crazy Canucks is to visit a tourist area that is filled with people from all over the world.

Quite a while ago I posted some screencaps from “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” and one screencap of Wonderfalls. However, I can’t believe I haven’t posted about Pirates of the Caribbean - At World’s End. As was reported previously, the computer graphics for the large waterfall was based on Niagara Falls.
Here are a few screencaps from the movie where the ship goes over the waterfall.

As is usually the case, we got season passes to Marineland this year. So far we have been 3 times, and will probably end up going a couple more times before the close in October. I posted about the new baby belugas after one of the visits. During one of the other trips, I took some short video clips of all of the rides in the “Family Rides” section. This includes:
- Tivoli Wheel
- Lady Bug Coaster
- Space Avenger
- Boat Carousel
- Orca Screamer
- Bumble Bee
- Viking Adventure
Someone with their own web site/blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:
Then, I went to a couple soccer games… went to the casino and today hung out in Niagara Falls. Woot, we went jetboating and it was amazing. Despite getting soaked with freezing cold water for an hour, I was in heaven and want to go back. After jetboating we drove around looking at my future house mansions owned by all the wine estates and rich people in Niagara. I swear I wish my family owned a wine estate, we’d be billionaires and we would have gorgeous house along the lake front. Heck, I think I may want to live more in Niagara then in Toronto these days since it is so much more beautiful.
