Again, province relegates Niagara to no-GO status

This isn’t directly related to Niagara Falls tourism, but there is a connection. Apparently the province of Ontario is working on a plan to improve transportation services in the country. The politicians in the Niagara Region have been pushing for an extension of the GO train service to come to the region. It appears this won’t happen any time soon, and the Niagara Falls Review has an editorial about it:

We are in Niagara Falls, a world-renowned city. We are the centre of tourism in a region of 400,000 people. Goodness, Niagara Falls is one of the premier destinations in this entire country. We have been pleading for the province to consider us for GO service. For years we have been pleading. Do we have to beg? It looks that way, although we’re not sure even that would do any good.
