The King comes to Queen Street

From the Niagara Falls Review:

There’s a code by which Elvis tribute artists abide: You can have fun with The King, but you must never, ever make fun of The King.

Ignore this rule, and you may find yourself surrounded by a pack of Presleys. Just ask Jay Zanier.

The Guelph Elvis emulator was at a recent competition when he saw one of the performers mocking the main man. He let him know it wasn’t cool.

“(I said) ‘If you don’t respect what you’re doing, don’t do it.’ There’s a lot of people out there who think Elvis is somebody not to be made fun of. I say, ‘I would stop doing what you’re doing, because there are a lot of people out there who would actually beat you up!’
