License Plate update - July 31, 2008

Don’t worry, I won’t be posting these all the time… the more license plates we see, the fewer updates there will be.

I’ve added a couple more provinces and several more states to the License Plate Hunt list, as well as a US Diplomat!

Border officials remind travelers to make sure they have proper documents when crossing the border

From the Niagara Falls Review:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is reminding travelers planning cross border trips this weekend to make sure they have proper documents.

Also, prepare for heavy traffic as Monday marks the Civic Holiday and Toronto’s Carabana Carnival Parade takes place on Saturday.

“U.S. Customs and Border Protection will staff all available primary lanes commensurate with arriving traffic, and will maintain staffing in those lanes until traffic subsides” said Buffalo Port Director Joseph Wilson.

Collins Family: Kirtland and Cananda

Someone with a Blogger blog posted about a recent trip to Niagara Falls:

We stopped for lunch at Niagara Falls. The group split, with me, Eowyn and Wes crossing the river on foot to see the Falls, and everyone else heading to a grocery store to get stuff for sandwiches.
Eowyn said she wanted to go to Canada, but I don’t think she realized it would mean a lot of walking. She did okay walking across the river and telling Wes about the last time we were there. Then, we had a little trouble getting into Canada because I only had my driver’s licence, and I didn’t have a letter of permission from John to bring Eowyn out of his custody. The guy even questioned Eowyn, I suppose they were worried I was trying to kidnap my daughter and take her to Canada.
