Correct me if I am wrong but wasn’t this a Days Inn before then it went to a private name and now its a Days Inn again? Or is this a different property?

Same one. It used to have a Denny’s attached, now Diner on the Lane.

Apparently IHOP is having a Job Fair at the Williams on Dorchester Rd. on Wed July 30 and July 31. I wonder where it is being built.

Funny you should post that comment on this posting Dan… I have a friend who is sure the IHOP is going to replace the “Diner on the Lane” at that Days Inn. I have no way of confirming that myself.

Hehe, coincidence. I just commented on the newest post. It’s odd a job fair is being held already with no sign of construction/renovation.

I was wondering what happened to the new IHOP proposal, but I think going out in that location for their first NF endeavor is a bit short sighted. Who is doing their location and marketing research, if a Denny’s closed up in that location and a Golden Griddle across the road recently closed, wouldn’t that put up warning flags? Along Stanley Avenue near the Fallsview district and upcoming Convention Center makes more sense or closer to Clifton!

Maybe we are all being fooled, and it will be part of the new East Side Marios complex on Clifton Hill?

IHOP had a job fair early in the spring at the Capri Restaurant. That was back when they were doing construction at AlMacs and I thought that maybe they were going in there. I never saw or heard anything more on that one, and now their’re having another. Very strange.

IHOP just opened it’s first restaurant here in the Pittsburgh Area in an “out of the way” spot about a couple of months ago and you still can’t get near the place!!!! We tried……50 min. wait for breakfast!!!

Just “build it and they will come!”

IHOP on the hill would have all of us fooled! I think their brand name will carry them far, and since it will be a first in Ont (I believe), I think there will be some curiosity that will drive business.

hmm… sounds interesting enough to put an IHOP in Ontario, it would definitely spark business.

I would go out of my way to IHOP. We use to travel to Belleville and stay at a hotel to eat at the last pondarosa in Ontario.

We ate ate at that Denny’s once but never again. They claimed to be the cheapest in NF. That might be true but the service sucked. A couple of Dennys near Toronto have closed. Maybe there in Financial trouble.

Whats the point of going back to a Days Inn. There are three too many locations. I get confuse with all the locations mainly the Casino ones.
