A few more notes that I’ve been able to find out about Dean Sullivan’s jump:
- Apparently on the 10th floor of the Fallsview Casino there is a viewing area. It was full of people, including other camera crews.
- He had on some thick plastic protection around his sides (similar to hockey equipment) and the friction from the rope almost burned/melted through the plastic.
- He hit the ground harder than expected.
- The delay in jumping was because of the media. It wasn’t really a public event. They wanted to get media attention for the Daredevil Days jump he will be doing.
- He was put up in the Sterling Inn and Spa.
