YouTube copyright infringement?

Here’s a strange one…

This morning I received the following email from YouTube:

What?! My home-made video (I used the movie mode of my digital camera) of Bronto’s Adventure Playland violates copyright? Weird. I’ve obviously emailed Google’s copyright office asking them to reinstate the video or to explain what the problem is. Stay tuned…

That is very unusual. I had a YouTube account, but I was flagged for copyright because of clips from CartoonNetwork. My original videos were eventually removed because apparently they saught after my older clips and suspended my entire account. I tried to contact them… any means necessary to re-enstate the account so I could remove all the clips… and I NEVER heard from them.

Good luck, there is absolutely no reason why it would be removed, Graham… you were in a public location just filming a public building. There is no law whatsoever about anything copyright with what you did. They are in the wrong for doing that, because you do not need permission by anybody or anyone to post such a video.

Your problem is that your complaint to YouTube will fall on deaf ears.

Its funny that Youtube goes after a home made video while there are millions of copyrighted clips on there. If it wasn’t for copyright content Youtube wouldn’t be what it is.

Here is what I think happen the word Veggie Tales in the title. They have bots that check for common words that could be protected by copyright. No one check the video but because the word veggie tales was in it. It got deleted.

Why did you post this? Just mentioning the video and the word Youtube is violating the original copyright infringement. LOL. Doesn’t these webpages have better things to do?

Smoke nailed it….bots search for specific words or strings of words and automatically file infringement notices and it’s completely ridiculous but it’s what happens!

I hope you don’t let YouTube off the hook for this keep on to them and good luck!
