Speaking of Canada’s interesting cannabis laws (and Niagara Falls being close to the border), High Times is closing. It has been open for just under a year, so I assume that the lease is up, and either the landlord wouldn’t renew it with them, or the store declined to renew.

just my 2 cents…
Not sure where, but down closer to Clifton Hill I saw an “OPENING SOON” sign and it was for High Times. I think it was down closer to the Golden Griddle if I’m not mistaken?
Thanks for the update Sue. I worked on Friday and Saturday, and was definitely impressed with how many people were around.
Fallsview, I’ll see if I notice anything when I’m out and around today.
too bad, get over it, looks rundown…looks like it is run by traffickers…lol
Since High-Time open there was change of ownership at the Lodge. Its look real tacky. The hotel is really nice inside and having taht makes your place look like a dump.
absolutely
Fallsview, you’re right… beside Capish is a Cuban cigar store that has a High Times store. I don’t know if they are associated or not. The one that is closing doesn’t say they are having a moving sale or anything. The sign says they are closing.
I told a friend about this, and he said the headline should have been “Low times for High Times”
It is very interesting for me to read on about all of your supposed factual information about local businesses, hotel/motels etc…
Although it is not accurate at all.
I feel that if the bloggers and graham are so inept in all dealings of business in niagara falls ontario then maybe perhaps instead of blogging about it you could let me know which business or hotel you own and the same to the bloggers, and then maybe i could let you know a few things about your businesses, oh but thats right, the bloggers and graham are just sitting at their homes behind their screens with absolutly all the time in the world and no business sense what so ever.
Im not about to start a flame war, but that’s hilarious for so many reasons…
If there are errors of fact, but all means let me know. But I’m not worried about it… everything I blog about is from the paper or from what I see as I’m out almost every day. I don’t own any business. I just go for a walk and write about what I see. The same IP address was used by someone who posted that the pizza at Boccelli’s was good. This restaurant is part of the the hotel where this store is, so perhaps it’s an owner, operator, or someone else with an interest in it.
If the person just emails me details, I’d be happy to include what I can. I try to include every thing I can, but you won’t get very far if you are critical for no reason.
There are a million blogs on the net where you can rightfully criticize the blogger. This just isn’t one of them. Graham is one of the most positive, up-beat, people I have never met. I don’t know how anyone could come to this site and say anything negative about anyone.
I’ve emailed “cooper” or “Sam” directly to see if there is anything specific that should be addressed.
Well Cooper your post is very interesting. But, I do not know how long I have posted but, Graham has spoken the truth. He does not make one location better or worse than what is already is. Is does not really post too much when it comes to his opinion but I think mostly his blog is about fact and observation. I get the impression that you seem upset that someone had something negative to say about a certain location. If a Hotel looks run down than it looks run down that is someones opinion. And if that is not true than dont blast someone for their opinion explain why you feel differently. If someone post negative about a stores sign or what they sell and you do not agree than post why you do not agree. People here have always gotten along and RESPECTED peoples observations and or opinions. You come across as defensive please explain why. Do you have a vested interest in these locations or any basis as to why the facts were not stated? You stated what Graham and other bloggers have posted are not accurate what is not accurate? Graham posts from his observations which mostly are backed up by photos. If he finds something newsworthly he supplies the link to the article. Also If you do not like how Graham runs this blog dont use his blog to think you are going to harm his or any one persons character. Please start your own blog and show us how we are not accurate.
Thanks Niagara and Lisa as always for the kind comments.
Let’s just ignore this for now and I’ll deal with any problems when or if they happen.
The person got back to me, but didn’t have anything specific to address. The person just doesn’t like some of the assumptions I make about area businesses (the person didn’t give any specifics). The person was just sharing their opinion, which of course we are all free to do.
Again, let’s not pursue this any further as I don’t want to get into any flame war. There are much more exciting things to comment about (Niagara’s Fury, Earth Hour, Build-A-Bear, etc).
I just want to say that I think Graham run a great site. He posts information that tourist and locals will find interesting. It keeps me inform on changes. HIs post arent bias he talks about changes that are happening. This is really the only site I check out a daily basis.
does anyone know if they are re-opening for sure??? Let me know thanks one of the best stores in niagara region!
lol
Has anyone seen the huge sign they’ve put up on Victoria?
the high times didnt close down they moved down into a bigger store
Actually, that High Times store just moved down the street, closer to Clifton Hill. They also opened up a bigger High Times store just down the street from that! So now there’s two stores! Awesome!
