Fun House in Summer 2007

I’m definitely way late in posting these, but I guess you could also say that I am early for this year.

Last summer my family went to the Fun House on Clifton Hill. This is an attraction owned by Niagara Clifton Group. It is supposed to be a traditional fun house with crooked mirrors, slanted rooms, and more. I’ve been before, and never been terribly impressed with it. But my kids love it, and I guess that is what matters. They thought the various mirrors were hilarious, and they loved playing with the giant sports balls. They are also big fans of anything that is glow-in-the-dark.

I took some pictures inside the Fun House. As is always the case, you can see some of the thumbnails below, and view all of the thumbnails and larger pictures in the Fun House in Summer 2007 gallery (sorry, no video this time). Since everything in the Fun House is tilted or skewed, it’s hard to see that clearly in the thumbnails. The larger pictures in the gallery definitely show it better.

Wikipedia - Harry Oakes

The Oakes name is well-known in Niagara Falls. Harry Oakes was a miner from Kirkland Lake who ended up in Niagara Falls. Actually in the very end he ended up in the Bahamas (where he was murdered). His family runs HOCO (Harry Oakes COmpany), one of the main companies on Clifton Hill. Wikipedia has a short page about him that only mentions a few of the places in Niagara Falls which bear his name.
