City historian offers walking tour of Clifton Hill

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Those wanting to learn more about one of the most storied streets in Ontario are invited to join the city’s official historian for a free walking tour of Clifton Hill.

Sherman Zavitz will lead the tour, which is sponsored by the City of Niagara Falls Arts and Culture Committee. The tour takes place May 27 from 1:30 to 3 p.m, beginning at the intersection of Clifton Hill and Victoria Avenue. For more information e-mail Zavitz at: sherman.zavitz@sympatico.ca or contact the city’s parks department at 905-356-7521, ext. 3330.

I’d love to go on this, but I won’t be able to make it. If any of you are around and end up going, please send me some information and I’ll post it.

Just wanted to let some of you know I came across a Facebook group for Maple Leaf Village, there is quite a few pics I’ve never seen before, so if you do have Facebook, type in Maple Leaf Village under the search bar and a group should come up called Maple Leaf Village 1979 to1990.
