Relive your travel journeys through journals

From FloridaToday.com:

Have you been to Niagara Falls? If not, you have missed one of the charming faces of Americana.

I have done a fair amount of traveling, but I never enjoy it as much as when I travel to learn. Now when I go places, I take notes, not just photographs. I even ask questions of tour guides rather than heckle them for fun.

More people should try keeping a contemporaneous travel journal. Reviewing vacation notes allows you to enjoy the trip again (cheaper) and recall facts that otherwise would be just disconnected fragments.

A person could visit Niagara and watch water fall, or go there and record what there is to learn.

Here are the notes from my recent trip:

Happy Holidays From Falls Avenue

I’m a little late on this, but last Tuesday I received an email greeting from Falls Avenue.

Museums go loonie

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Local residents will get a chance to play tourist next weekend, at much cheaper rates, during Loonie Museum Day.

More than a dozen attractions in the Clifton Hill area will offer $1 admission Sunday to residents of the city.

The popular event, which raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada, has been entertaining thousands of local residents for the past 18 years.

“It’s a win-win situation for everybody,” said Rosemary Croteau, publicity chairwoman with the Niagara CF chapter.

“The businesses win, we win and, of course, the public wins because they have this wonderful opportunity to bring their kids down here for a only a buck.”

Loonie Museum Day is always held the last Sunday of Christmas vacation.
