Museums go loonie

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

Local residents will get a chance to play tourist next weekend, at much cheaper rates, during Loonie Museum Day.

More than a dozen attractions in the Clifton Hill area will offer $1 admission Sunday to residents of the city.

The popular event, which raises money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Canada, has been entertaining thousands of local residents for the past 18 years.

“It’s a win-win situation for everybody,” said Rosemary Croteau, publicity chairwoman with the Niagara CF chapter.

“The businesses win, we win and, of course, the public wins because they have this wonderful opportunity to bring their kids down here for a only a buck.”

Loonie Museum Day is always held the last Sunday of Christmas vacation.
