Painting in the great outdoors

Last year, Eleanor Blair travelled more than 2,400 kilometres from her home in Gainsville, Fla. for an exciting new artistic challenge.

The painter, accustomed to creating landscape portraits with oils and a fine-tipped brush, said she needed a challenge, and after hearing about the International Plein Air Painters Paint-Out event in Queen Victoria Park last September, she couldn’t wait to try her luck.
