Some 6,000 people came from as far as Ohio to shiver and scream as part of the audience for American TV talk show darlings Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa.
Fans, mostly from Ontario and New York state, began lining up at midnight for front-row seats on the lawn for two tapings of Live with Regis and Kelly – one that aired Monday, and a second taping at 11 a.m., to air Tuesday.
Most audience members got free tickets from the show’s website or through area radio station raffles. But a few die-hard fans paid as much as $350 for their tickets on EBay.
