Playoff tickets for the Buffalo Sabres are in high demand, but those for Monday’s dual taping of the “Live with Regis & Kelly” show in Niagara Falls, Ont. come in a close second.
Regis Philbin and his daytime TV co-host Kelly Ripa will be taping two shows from Oakes Garden Theatre, with the first airing live that day. All 3,000 seats for the two shows were snapped up in just a few hours and now scalpers are getting as much as $350 for the free tickets. The shows will air Monday and Tuesday and are being used to promote Niagara Falls at the start of the peak summer tourism season.
Michael Gelman, the show’s executive producer, said they only take “Regis & Kelly” on the road a few times a year and only to high-profile locations. This year, the show went live from Los Angeles and will be in Charlotte later next week to tie-in with the city’s upcoming NASCAR race.
