From the Welland Tribune: The Maid of the Mist will open on May 4. Because this year’s winter has been so long, the popular tourist attraction will start running trips to the falls three-and-a-half weeks later than last year’s opening.
Yesterday (Thursday) I received the latest email newsletters from the Embassy Suites by Hilton Niagara Falls – Fallsview.
Approximately two months ago, the Imax Theatre on Fallsview Blvd. installed new LED lighting tubes running along each angle of their Pyramid shaped building. The tubes turn a number of colors as well as flashing throughout the sequence. It is a nice addition and gives it a Las Vegas feel.
The Sun Media chain of newspapers recently had information about what do do in Niagara Falls. The list was put together by people at the Marriott Fallsview, but they do a decent job highlighting the “big” attractions. Last week the signs on the new Outback Steakhouse on Victoria Ave were put up. Things look great inside (I’ve seen in from the windows), so I assume they will be opening very soon.
