Ernesto doesn’t soak tourism; Visitors find plenty to do despite rain

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

A small taste of tropical storm Ernesto made for a wet and chilly Labour Day weekend in Niagara Falls.

But not all tourists were about to spend the traditional last gasp of summer indoors. After a steady downpour Saturday, the crowds made Sunday and Monday count.

“It hasn’t been too bad,” said Domenic Casciano, manager of the Classic Iron Motorcycle Museum on Victoria Avenue. “I’m surprised we did what we did Saturday, considering it rained all day and night.

“I mean, you’re here now – you’re not going to sit in your hotel room 24 hours a day.”
