Don’t call an exterminator, those bugs are lunch

    From the Niagara Falls Review:

It’s turkey for Christmas dinner and ham at Easter.

But for Ontario’s first Family Day, hundreds of people were going for bamboo worms and ant eggs.

The bamboo worm is a two-inch larva that lives in bamboo chutes in China.

“It’s kind of crunchy, like a chip. A little bit salty. It has a flavour unto itself,” said chef Jeff Stewart, organizer of the third Bug-a-licious event at the Butterfly Conservatory.
