    From the Niagara Falls Review:

A campaign to make sure people crossing the border have the documents they need appears to be working.

Kevin Corsaro, spokesman for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office in Buffalo, said in the first two days of the new Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative requirements, “we have been seeing mid-90 per cent compliance rates from travellers.”

The new rules — which require anyone over the age of 19 to show proof of citizenship along with photo identification when they cross the border — came into effect Jan. 31.
