Romano’s Macaroni Grill

I haven’t made it inside the new Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview, but things look pretty good form the outside. The area right at the corner appears to be Romano’s Macaroni Grill.

  1. I’m visiting Niagara in July and have read several times on the internet that this place is overpriced and the food was not very good. Any reviews?

  2. I was in Niagara about 2 weeks ago and had a chance to eat at Romano’s Macaroni Grill. I have to say, the food there was the best I have ever had. I had the chicken portabello and the rice and chicken was done to perfection. Both were so moist and rich in flavour. I highly recommend this restaurant.

  3. Way overpriced!!! My wife and I stopped in for a couple of beers on 8/9/09. Each beer was $12.25 cnd (Rickards Red 14 oz draft. I don’t pay that much in Manhattan. Skip Macaroni Grill and visit the pubs next to the casino. Their beer is about 1/2 Macaroni’s price.

  4. I had the worst meal i’ve ever had at this place!!! The bread was awful, my salad was full of mushy tomatoes that should of been thrown out and not served to anyone, and our meals were awful. If you like canned tomato sauce. They say that they serve authentic italian, what a joke. Skip this overprice wanna be italian restaurant and go to Mama Mia’s in the Casino. There you will get authentic Italian!!! I’ve never been so disappointed in my life!!! Oh and our server really didn’t know what he was doing!

    1. They don’t even tell you that the 15% tip is already included in your bill. So, if you do not check your bill, you won’t realize that you just tip your waiter between $80 to $150!!!!!

  5. TERRRRRRIBLE!!
We went last weekend, and started off waiting 10 minutes to be seated in an empty restaurant because no staff was anywhere to be found – that should have been a strong hint. The continued service was AWFUL (we weren’t even offered drinks!!), the waiter was rude, and the food was overpriced and generic.
I highly do NOT recommend anyone visiting this place – not sure if it’s new and struggling to get off the ground, but it was a total joke – they deserve to sink if this is what they offer.

  6. I went in July and had GREAT good and GREAT service. They were always smiling and they made my family feel awesome. I went a second time and it seemed like the bumped up their prices alot and my guess is because they realized theyre IN the hilton and they want to make more money cuz the macaroni grills around the states and in vancouver wasnt that expensive. So i think they realized if people are staying IN the hilton they wouldnt mind paying that much for a meal. The food is still delicious, second time i had the seafood linguini, its just i dont like how they made the price so much more expensive then it should be. Though i did get a huge portion of my food.
I recommend you to go and form your own opinion.

reminder: Theres GST tax PST tax and TIF tax which is tourism tax for niagara falls. just dont forget to bring money! haha

  7. We went at Romano’s Macaroni Grill on 31 December, 2009. We ate the best Four Seasons pizza ever and the service and athmosphere at the restaurant were remarkable!

Thank you for the lovely time with you! We shall visit you again for sure!

    Happy New Year!

  8. In general we enjoy the Macaroni Grill but be prepared to pay more than twice the price. Kids’ Mac and Cheese in the US $4.99, in Niagara Falls $12.95. Pastas are $26.99 compared to $11.99 in the US.

    Not worth the extra$$$$$

  9. Overpriced with poor service. I made the mistake of ordering a steak which was covered in demi-glaze to hide the fact it was way past when it should have been thrown out. I’ve heard of aging meat but not to the point where you can’t get it near your nose. Went because of the coupon that came with the hotel package. Never again.
