I saw this! I was up this weekend. Thanks to Graham’s post on Friday, I knew what that was all about. They actually left it on until around 10:30 at least. i was on the casino overlook around that time enjoying some maple ice cream. if no one else has tried maple ice cream - try it!!!!
Had a great time - actually left the casino a little poorer after my friends and i left after learning how to play Roulette. Small victories!
Table rock is huge. I was very happy not to see the balloon.
I think i scared my friends with how much i knew about the area and how i drove around like i owned the place. But what really scared them was breakfast at Falls Manor when Ceil rattled off my order to me and asked how my mom and dad were doing. hilarious!
Karen, were u able to get any look at where niagara’s fury will be?
I believe when you walk across the walkway over the street, it will be to your left (north side?). That is where the biggest part of the new construction is.
Graham, was Casino Niagara’s lease re-newed? Did that have to be done by March or something?
I haven’t really been paying attention to that, but I don’t recall hearing anything about it being officially signed/renewed. There was all sorts of talk that it was being worked on, but that’s all I remember hearing.
I just coulda sworn I thought I read somewhere if the lease wasnt picked up by March ‘08 it would close or something inside a year or two? And that if it was picked up it would be open another 10 years. I cant remember.
Actually played at Casino Niagara for the first time in years! We had a lot of fun! it is small and confusing in there though.
I love it, Fallsview is too big and crowded
