From Niagara This Week:
A bid to have high-wire walker Jay Cochrane back in Niagara Falls walking over Clifton Hill this summer seems like it won’t be getting off the ground.
Cochrane, who was in the Falls last summer for daily tightrope walks near the Skylon Tower, was hoping to return to Niagara Falls this summer for walks from the HOCO properties across Clifton Hill to the Sheraton-on-the-Falls, said Mark Phillips, his agent in New York City.
Cochrane planned to do the nightly walks, lit by spotlights. The walks were already being advertised on the Niagara Falls Tourism website.
But while there are efforts to have him return, it’s looking like it may not happen because of the high costs to stage the nightly walks.

This is a bummer.
An unfortunate but necessary decision. Closing off Clifton Hill would create traffic havoc. Too bad they can’t set up the towers on HOCO property, there’s plenty of room there.
Yeah, once I read that I thought to myself what a nightmare closing Clifton Hill would be.
so true, but i enjoy his performances
It would be cool to see. Have it twice a month. It should bring a lot of money. Wouldn’t there be a hight difference and plus wouldn’t Niagara Clifton Group have to agree. Also the lack of space on Clifton Hill I think there is just too many problems.
I would love to see him do it over the falls. That would bring a lot of money.
