wow..those guys have got some nerve..they’re sittin on MY balcony…lol..obviousley they’re back to work on it…my friend told me that they had to pack everything up as a precaution for falling debris..etc during tourists season..obviousley..they’re back to work on it..it’s a shame to see the restaurant gone now as well as the hotel..jewellery store is next..apparently their lease has been cancelled from what i heard..but as i said..i’m heading down again for a couple days on tuesday..i’ll see what i can find out..

Hey, the good news is that maybe it’ll be snatched up during the winter & developed into another interesting (but tacky) place to fit right in with the theme of Clifton Hill… even if is another restaurant.
Rob, Niagara 21st group bought the building in the summer. They are the ones who own the Mariotts, Embassy, etc. I doubt they will have anything ready until at least next summer. The building is not in great condition and there is a lot of work to be done.
Sue and others, I’ve heard Clifton Group plans on selling the building Niagara Clifton Family Restaurant is in now. Anyone come across this or is it just a rumuor??
wow..i’m gonna have to write up a list for when i go..all these names and questions..i’ll never remember it all…last i heard was that hilton bought it..i have no idea if hilton is also marriot..embassy etc…everybody seems to own everybody down there…

Hilton is not the same as the Mariott people. Hilton is Niagara Hospitality and that I believe is owned by the Dicosimo’s, correct me if I’m wrong. I think they have enough on their plate with the Hilton expansion.
