Marineland rides photo gallery

As you know, I had a season pass to Marineland and went half a dozen times this year. During one of my visits in July, I took pictures of many of the rides, and I’ve now posted them in a gallery.

As is always the case, you can see some of the thumbnails below, and view all of the thumbnails and larger pictures in the Marineland Rides in Summer 2007 gallery.

There are now 2,248 images in the gallery!

Ontario Lottery and Gaming and Canadian Niagara Hotels sign off on negotiating points

From the Niagara Falls Review:

Ontario Lottery and Gaming and Canadian Niagara Hotels have signed a “framework agreement” allowing the two sides to continue negotiating a long-term lease for Casino Niagara.

“The OLG is committed to bringing forward a viable plan for two casino operations so developments can go forward,” interim CEO Michelle DiEmanuele said in a release issued Friday.

“We’re committed to helping maintain the community’s competitive advantage in attracting visitors and supporting economic growth.”

Ontario Lottery and Gaming spokesman Jim Cronin described the agreement as “a framework that sets out the key principles that will allow us to continue negotiating with the landlord for a long-term lease renewal for the Casino Niagara site.”

B.C. man jumps off Niagara Falls … again

From Canada.com:

For the second time in three years, Dean Sullivan rappelled down the cliffs of Niagara Falls without injury.

Still, the Nanaimo man is not officially recognized for his daredevil antics.

Sullivan - also known for bungee jumping off Vancouver’s Lions Gate Bridge in 2002 - loves the attention his stunts attract, so he said he was quite upset when the Niagara parks commission refused to acknowledge his 2004 jump.
