As many of you have noticed, regular visitor Sara is quite interested in the Skylon Tower and its arcade. She recently emailed me the following:
I am back with the picture from the Skylon Tower. It’s of the Sega R360 arcade game, which is an extremely rare arcade game. Also its important to mention that the R360 is not at the Skylon anymore because we don’t want people going there to play it thinking its there. This picture was taken in the early 90s.

She also emailed me this:
I went to the Skylon Tower today and I received some old amusement ride tickets. I just thought I would share a scan of them with you. Feel free to put this on the blog as well. They are from Cataract Amusements, which is the company that used to provide the amusements for the Skylon.

I dunno if Im confusing it w/ another ride;but when I was a lil kid I loved something that looked like this in the Skylon.
I have never been to the skyline tower and am dying to go.
Its probably the R360, I don’t know of anything else that looked like the R360 that was in this area, its very unique. Whats nice about it as well is that its actually a video game that you play instead of just being a video motion ride, most modern simulators are just rides where you watch a video.
Sadly there are no known R360 machines operating in the USA in the public and none in the UK either.
