LodgingGuide lets you do your “due diligence” rate checks in one convenient place. The list below shows Niagara Falls Canada area hotels presented by the number of online vendors you can compare rates with.
The site isn’t very fancy, but it is a listing of hotels in the area and shows you how many online sites let you get rates. The assumption is that if there are more sites available to check rates at, then you have a better chance of getting a good rate.

Off topic (as usual), but have just read about another major blow to Niagara Falls tourism. Cirque Niagara has filed for bankruptcy. Not good at all.

This is the worst news I have heard lately, things are really not looking good. I was excited to read not long ago that they would be returning with a new show and a new location, but this is so sad. Niagara Falls just lost one of the few positive things that has happened in the last 5 years, it gave us a sophisticated option instead of all of the other rip-offs in the tourism core! I said it at the beginning of the season, they weren’t advertising enough… not like last year, and to run the same show with less people coming here was suicide in my opinion, I had free tickets but didn’t go because I saw the same show twice last year. Not sure what to think anymore!!!
I was dying to see that show.
how do places like the criminal hall of fame stay open? surely, the rent at that location has got to by sky high?
that’s what i was thinking, niagara. How could the criminal place be “better” then a cirque show. it’s crazy.
Truth be told, I think the Criminal HOF is a unique little attraction. Problem with it is, you go once;you have seen it and done it. I don’t know what % of visitors to NF are repeat customers, but I am assuming they wouldn’t go more than once? Ive just always been suprised that its stayed open in that prime location I guess. Its had to have been open 20 years or so, so it must make $$$.
Cirque Niagara had an advantage that they could have (may have I dunno) changed shows every year, and/or offered more than one show. Im suprised its gone, it looked very cool from the outside.
I don’t know what to think about tourism in NF right now. I read some places things are fine, and other places say things are not good. The only thing I can think is that if things were going well, HOCO would be going forward w the plans they have? And things like Cirque Niagara wouldn’t be going out of business. Also, the free parking at Fallsview being taken away really made me wonder what is or is not going on. I really hope everything pulls through. I love the area and I do not want to see it face any more difficulty than it has. There are alot of places in NF that I would really be sad to see close down.
