Continuing my series on the arcades in the tourist area (last week I wrote about the Great Canadian Midway), today I will write a bit about Marvel Super Heroes Adventure City. This is owned by Canadian Niagara Hotels and is in the Falls Avenue complex.
Marvel Super Heroes Adventure City opened a couple of years ago, after the Great Canadian Midway opened.Although not as big, there are plenty of games and some attractions. I’ll write about the Spider-man ride, Incredible Hulk Mini-putt, X-Men Bumper cards, and the rest another time.
The arcade isn’t nearly as big as Great Canadian Midway, but the theming is fantastic, and the kids will love it. There is a huge sign outside the building with the incredible Hulk on it that I’m sure draws many people in. Once inside, the games are pretty standard, but the signs and rides are all based on Marvel comic characters. Many of the prizes at the redemption booth are also Marvel-themed prizes.
It is hard to make a comparison between Marvel Super Heroes Adventure City and Great Canadian Midway. They have a lot in common, but they are also entirely different. If you have children, then you’ll probably have to check out both

The bumper cars are awesome, even for adults. If you try them I guarantee you wont regret it, they go pretty fast!
I’ve always enjoyed GCM better. They seem to have a greater variety of games (especially when you include Sports Zone) and it seems cleaner. Marvel in my opinion is a little overpriced (and from what I heard the Spiderman is not great value) and the theming could be so much more. It still beats out Skylon
GCM is definitly a better overall establishment. The bumper cars are the only thing I like @ Marvel.
They have bumper cars in there?? Huh… learn something new every day around here!
I had a terrible experience at Marvel and loved Midway. Midway was fair with exchange rates and their games actually worked. I had to find a person at least 5 times to fix a game at Marvel. The Hulk Golf was terrible too. Only 9 holes for $6? I loved Midway!
