Amusement Today is one of the major trade newspapers for the amusement industry. I came across their website recently, and noticed that they had yearly awards. I skimmed the page and saw that Marineland was 4th place in the Best Marine Life Park category:
| SeaWorld Orlando | Orlando, Fla. | 65% |
| SeaWorld San Antonio | San Antonio, Texas | 15% |
| SeaWorld San Diego | San Diego, Calif. | 8% |
| Marineland | Niagara Falls, Ontario (Tie) | 6% |
| Six Flags Marine World | Vallejo, Calif. (Tie) | 6% |
You can view all the results on the 2006 Golden Ticket Award Winners page.

It’s to no surprise that Marineland ranks so low. I wouldn’t consider the “top 5″ as necessarily a good thing, since there aren’t exactly that many marine-life parks around the USA (as the Golden Tickets are usually judged).
…if they actually progress & finish not only the complete aquarium that they’ve been taunting since 2000, but also the train-ride & boat-ride which takes you through the various areas.
…Marineland doesn’t always feel like a “marine” park. Feels more like a half-empty zoo with a few rides because of the style of theming they chose to stick with (I forgot what you call it), throughout the entire park… which looks nothing like a marine park.
