Back in November I posted about the public meeting that was being held about some changes to the Hilton. The changes were approved and the work has begun. This isn’t a great picture, but if you recall, there used to be a Denny’s beside the Hilton at the corner (see here for a picture). The Denny’s is gone and crews are there clearing the property.

They have, in fact, actually started digging the foundation hole for the new hotel. They’re down about 20ft already.
Whatever they’re doing there it appears that the construction people have dug into a bunch of phone wires. I know the Skylon Tower, among other places have had spotty, intermittent phone service for the past 3 days now and the Bell trucks are hovering around this site.
There goes the most expensive Denny’s in North America
You may be correct, however the one on Victoria still gives it a run for the money. What a joke the prices are.
I ate at the one on Victoria Avenue my memory -

The prices were so high we wondered if we would have money left for dinner lol just kidding but it was high just for breakfast.
