The former Teddy Town

Back in June I posted some pictures of the new Teddy Town store that was underneath the Burger King on Clifton Hill. As Lisa from Rochester pointed out in a posting, the store is now closed. I barely l2 months!

i mentioned in the same posting after lisa last wednedsay when we went to the falls..a reliable source told us that they cleaned the place out during the night..apparently the onwer of teddy town (miami based) wasn’t happy with the location in the first place…also..i mentioned that the inn by the falls nesr the hampton inn on victoria was torn down 2 weeks ago..apparently an 8 story hotel is going to be built there.

That location is not a successful location.
I could swear I remember at least three other places that have occupied that same area, including a video arcade & a really cheesy gift-shop.

It’s kind of ashame… but location location location is key and although traffic through there is high, the way it’s facing & how you step below is a deterrant that doesn’t bring pedestrian traffic off of Clifton Hill. Maybe best served as a restaurant?

I hope the next renters have more success.

I always thought that would be the perfect spot for a little Irish pub and grill.

^ omg I was thinking the exact same thing! NOTL has a british or irish pub on Queen St. that looks like it goes into a basement but still looks nice. There aren’t really any pubs in the area, so I think it would be a great addition for adults on the hill.
