The new HOCO Ferris wheel is going to be where the Golden Griddle is on Clifton Hill. That portion of the building previously housed the Golden Griddle, the Quality Inn Clifton Hill Front Desk, and Q-Balls. Q-Balls hasn’t been open since the Great Canadian Midway and Boston Pizza opened. As previously posted, Ledcor is the construction management company overseeing the construction of the new retail building and the Ferris wheel, and they have been using the Q-Balls area as their office.
It looks like that building is coming down soon. The Golden Griddle closed shortly after the new year, and has been emptied:
The front counter has been ripped apart.
The tables and chairs have been taken out.
A construction trailer has arrived to house the Ledcor people.
